What We Provide
Lawn mowing
Our weekly lawn mowing service includes:
*A fresh-cut lawn, at a proper height to promote lawn growth
*Trimming around all obstacles
*Edging in all applicable areas
*Removal of lawn clippings from landscaping, sidewalks, decks, porches, and driveways
*free disposal of small yard waste
While Britton Lawn Care offers a variety of services, we pride ourselves on our lawn mowing and maintenance. We use the Right Tools for the Job ensuring an even and fresh cut every time with well-maintained equipment and regularly sharpened blades. Additionally, we care about your lawn and want to protect it. So while we maintain a regularly scheduled mowing route we will not compromise your lawn by mowing in the rain and creating muddy paths or ruts in your yard.
We also take into great consideration the time of season, if the lawn is brown and dormant in late summer from a drought, we don't just "go through the motions", that can be terribly unhealthy for your lawn. We will skip it until it is long and healthy enough to mow
Spring/Fall Clean-ups
Spring Clean-Up Service
Our spring clean-up service is the process of clearing of dead grass, removing all leaves, branches and other debris that have accumulated over the course of the winter season throughout your property and landscape beds and hauling away the debris from your property.
In Wisconsin, the winters are always different and an early spring is always on everyone’s wish list. The rapidly melting snow along with the cool, overcast, and wet weather bring special conditions that need immediate attention prior to the start of spring. Regardless of the amount of cleanup you did last fall, there is always more to do to get your lawn and landscape ready for the growing season.
Spring is a time of rebirth and reawakening from a long Wisconsin winter's nap. Getting out into the fresh air of spring can do much to revitalize you as well as your plants. Give Britton lawn care a couple of hours of cleaning things up and you will be rewarded with a healthier and more vigorous landscape and it will also do wonders for you.
Dethatching
Thatch is the layer of living and dead stems, roots, stolon's, and rhizomes between the green blades of grass and the soil surface. A thin layer of thatch (less than 1/2 inch thick) can be beneficial to the lawn because it helps to limit weed germination, reduce water evaporation, and protect from frost damage. However, thick thatch layers can prevent water, air, and nutrients from penetrating the soil, causing reduced root growth and increased potential for drought stress. Thatch also favors fungal growth and can harbor insect pests
Fall clean-up service
Snow is coming
Our fall clean-up service is the process of removing all leaves, branches and other debris that have accumulated over the course of the summer season throughout your property and landscape beds and hauling it away from your property. This service is a great way to prepare your lawn and property for the Wisconsin winter season.
As we approach the end of the growing season and prepare for winter, we need to reflect on the severity of disease each year and remember that most diseases survive winter within infected plant debris. Fungal material such as mycelium, spores, or specialized reproductive structures may persist in the soil, in fallen leaves, or in dead branches remaining on the plant. Therefore, as a professional lawn care company, we can try to minimize the amount of fungal material that survives winter by removing all debris prior to the first snowfall
Irrigation system Blowouts & Startups
Irrigation Startups
In addition to winterizing your irrigation system, we also start it up for the growing season. During an irrigation start up service we perform a comprehensive check of the entire system to ensure that it is not damaged and that it will be operating on tiptop shape throughout the spring, summer and fall. During a Wisconsin irrigation start up, our knowledgeable irrigation technicians will:
•Do an Initial visual inspection of your system to check for any visible damage
• Fill the system with water to ensure there is no damage that was not visible
•Adjust sprinkler heads if needed
•Remove overgrown turf from sprinkler heads if needed
•Program your controller to ensure adequate watering on every part of your lawn and landscape
If any damaged parts or leaks are detected, our technician will inform you of the issues that need to be resolved and we can provide a quote for the irrigation repairs or service work required to get your system functional again.
Irrigation system winterization
Irrigation Blowouts
During every Wisconsin winter, the frost level extends below the depth of your sprinkler systems installed irrigation pipes, heads and valves. It is absolutely crucial to remove the water from your system before winter arrives not doing so will cause pipes to freeze, expand, and then crack, possibly rupturing in the process. The result of not properly winterizing your irrigation system is a huge bill in the spring time to repair system and replace the damaged parts. Allow us to help with our industry-leading lawn irrigation system winterization process. We primarily use the “blowout” method when winterizing your irrigation system. This can be a complicated process, As too much pressure in the lines can damage parts of the sprinkler system, so we utilize an industrial grade air compressor that applies an appropriate amount of air pressure to efficiently and effectively remove the water from your underground sprinkler pipes, valves and heads in a timely matter. It’s never too early to reserve your sprinkler blowout, call us today as our schedule fills up fast

My mower broke down and the grass was getting out of hand. I called them and received a return call in about 40 minutes and said they would try and get to my place yet today.
2 hours later if that they are at the house cut the lawn twice because of the length and were on their way.
